She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lauderdale and Elnora Lauderdale; her daughter Osheia Middlebrook; her grandson Jibreel Goins; her siblings, Ernestine Walker, Esly Mae Parker, Abron Lauderdale, Joseph Lauderdale and James Lauderdale; and her stepbrother Alphonso Wright.
She is survived by: her husband Ocie Middlebrook; her children, Raheema "Kathy" Muhammad-Perkins of Lansing, Michigan, Rickie Middlebrook (Ada) of Lansing, Michigan, Zianne Thomason (Frank) of Lansing, Michigan, Januann Middlebrook of Lansing, Michigan and Danny Middlebrook of Lansing, Michigan; her stepsisters, Mable Thomas and Brenda Adams of Memphis, Tennessee; and her stepsons, Larry Taylor of Mansfield and Carl Middlebrook of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
