It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karol Joy Monroe of Lansing, Michigan, born in Mason, Michigan, who passed away on May 25, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Carpenter and Beatrice Carpenter (Ward); and her son Mark Monroe. She is survived by: her husband Michael Monroe; her children, Mattheu Monroe (Julie), Chris Monroe, Patrick Monroe and Mickey Monroe; her granddaughters, Kourtney Monroe and Annabelle Williams; her siblings, Dan Carpenter (Judy) and Karen Cramer (Dave); and her mother-in-law Betty Monroe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
