It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Lee Simmer in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John N. Simmer Jr.; her parents, Arthur Curtis and Gladys Curtis; her sister Ann "Penny" Curtis; and her sister-in-law Gayle Curtis (Kathy Boyle).

She is survived by: her children, Mark Simmer (Susan), Patrick Simmer (Sharon), Lynn Randall (Ronald), Kimberly Simmer (Mazey) and Jeffrey Simmer (Brenda); and her siblings, Bryan "Buzz" Curtis, Jeffrey Curtis (Cathy), Steve Curtis (Colleen) and Kelly Nutter (Eric). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
