He is survived by: his wife Catherine Maurer (Shaw); his children, Newman Maurer (Janice), Walter Maurer (Sabra), Julius Maurer III (Suzanne) and Marian Underwood; his grandchildren, John Maurer, Gina Maurer, Christina Maurer, Tabatha North, Chase Hull, Meranda Hull, Merriah Hull, Alex Maurer, Emily Maurer and Elizabeth Maurer; his great grandchildren, Braiden Maurer, Rowe North, Reid North, Haley Hull and Hanna Hull; and his siblings, Thomas Maurer, Martha Maurer, Richard Maurer, Edward Maurer, Jerry Orszula (Maurer) and Susan Bahs (Maurer).
He was a loving man who loved giving time to charity an example of that was his 15 years of service to Meals on Wheels organization.
