He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rice and Ruby Rice (Birkey); and his brother Douglas Rice. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Rice; his daughter Jodi Towler (Michael); his grandchildren, Audrey Single (Jacob), Andrew Towler and Paul Towler; his sister-in-law Virginia Hein; and his nephews, David Rice (Nellie), Jeff Rice (Ruth), Calvin Rice (Sue) and Graham Rice (Gina).
