He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Dorothy Smith; and his son John T. Ransom, Jr.. He is survived by: his sister Helen Fowler (John); his son Richard Ransom (Jeanette); his grandchildren, Michael Ransom (Leah), Richard Ransom (Heather), Jennifer Hamilton (James) and Jessica Scutt (Corey); and his great grandchildren, Devin, Riley, Gunner and Alexis.
