He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Alberta Jean Makara (Thompson); his wife Donna Makara; his children, Jessica Wicke (Jim Hunnicutt) of St. Johns, Nick Makara of Elsie, Jeremy Girven (Brandi Evans) of Lansing, Joshua Girven (Jennifer) of Iron Mountain and Kyle James (Heather Schmidt) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jazmine, Brendan, Cheyenne, James, Carson, Anabelle, Olivia, Charley, Jourdan, Landen, Alexis, Rylan, Wyatt, Aries, Lillie, Jeremiah, Oliver and Leo; his great grandchildren, Carter, Brekin and Maria; his brother Jerry Makara of Elsie; his father John Makara; and his brother Jim Makara. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
