He is survived by: his children, Deborah Parris, Delinda Thomas (Arthur), John Jr. Couthen (Dawn) and Delesa Royal (Reginald); his grandchildren, Rasha Thomas (Vontresse), Nicole Cain, LeChele Parris (Deborah Mitchell), Janaya Royal, John III Couthen (Carly), Sean Royal, Heather Johnson (Kristian) and Daniel Couthen; his great grandchildren, Shaylah Pulley, Chase Parris, Chelsea Parris, Asiah Pulley, Jaida Thomas, Ariyah Royal, Carson Parris Wright, Javon Thomas, Kameron Couthen, Savanna Collins, London Couthen, Tajh Cain and Aaliyah Royal; and his brothers, Alexander Cauther (Val) and Perry Ranson.
