He is survived by: his wife Janet Kelly-Ballard; his children, LaRisa Alston (Tevin), Jimmie Ballard, Jr. (Ebony) of Pueblo and Jason Scales of Flint, Michigan; his stepson Nathan Kelly; his grandchildren, KeShawn of Jimmie, III, Jayla Ballard of Pueblo, Diamond, Takeyia, Robie and Jason Jr. Scales of Flint, Michigan; his brothers, Jesse Ballard of Flint and Joel Ballard of Texas; his niece Iris Clemens-Ballard of Texas; his aunt Alberta Flagg (Simuel) of California; and his uncles, Thomas Perry of Detroit, Elder Eddie Perry (Sallie) of Tennessee, O. T. and Pete Ballard of Tennessee.
