He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert LaFontzee and Sally C. LaFontzee (Simons); and his sisters, Ethel, Mary and Joan.

He is survived by: his wife Lois; his son Adelbert LaFontzee (Linda Whipple); and his sister June Ann Hazen.
