James William Howell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William Howell of Lansing, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Howell and Nyda Howell (Johnson); and his sisters, Patricia Pittenger (Phil) and Barbara Pohl (Joe). He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay Howell (Havens); his children, Suzi Howell, Michael Howell, Shari Wood (Tom), Mark Howell (Christine) and Anthony Howell (Brella); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Howell, Sara Howell, Matt Wood (Tanya), Sean Wood (Christine), Ryan Wood, Nicholas Howell (Sabrina), Kasheen Howell and Sway Howell; and his sister Cindy Smith (Stewart). He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westside YMCA or the American Heart Association in memory of Jim.
