He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Zimmerman and Earl Zimmerman; and his brother Larry Zimmerman. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Dianna Heinz, Margaret Zimmerman (Robert Rogers) and Matthew Zimmerman (Sarah); his grandchildren, Austin Rogers, Katharyne Zimmerman and Alexander Zimmerman; his siblings, Robert Zimmerman, Austin "Ike" Zimmerman (Miriam) and Grace Clark; and his sister-in-law Carol Zimmerman. He is also survived by several niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation in memory of James Zimmerman.
