James A. Church Obituary
In loving memory of James A. Church (Lansing, Michigan), born in Dewitt, Michigan, who departed this world on January 12, 2025 at the age of 85. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Church and Thelma Church; his wife Rodena Mae Schoals; his brother David (Eileen Church); his son Douglas James Church; his grandson Grant Douglas Church; his son-in-law Steven Eric Johnson; his great grandchild Althea Grace Howe; and his nephew Jeffrey Scott Church.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Church, Deborah Johnson and Kenneth Church (Candy); his grandchildren, Sarah Johnson, Anne Howe (Darren) and Hunter Church; his great grandchild Evelyn Rose Howe; and his brothers-in-law, Rodney Schoals (Pat) and Robert (Ann). He is also survived by Four nephews and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Baptist Church (1380 W Round Lake Rd, DeWitt, MI 48820). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
