He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine A. Purchis. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Silvernail (Kenneth) and Sandy McKenzie (Mark); his grandchildren, Benjamin Silvernail (Valli Sanmugalingam), Eric Silvernail (Molly), Jerilyn Moyses (Josh) and Jacilyn Smith; and his great grandchildren, Alina Grace Silvernail, Josilyn Cora Moyses and Jayce Andrew Moyses.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Lansing or Mystic Lake YMCA Camp.
