He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith (Carol) and Imogene Puffenburger; his brother Bob Smith; his fiancée Diane Alspaugh; his sons, Tod (Dana), Craig (Mindy) and Jason (Angie); and his siblings, Pam Dragasic (Richard), Kevin (Kim) and Kenny (Julie).
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Stacy (Bill); his grandchildren, Cassaundra, Makenzie, Chloe, Cameron, Jack, Mikayla, Martina, Markayden, Brenden, Madaline, Alex, Emily and Andrew; and also Mike (Jenny). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Delta Chapel (6301 W St Joseph St, Lansing, MI 48917). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
