He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Ritter and Vera Ritter (Carroll); and his brothers, Carroll, Keith, Kenneth and Merlyn.
He is survived by: his wife Verlene; and his children, Suseann Van Liew (Tom), Linda Clymer (James), Robert Ritter (Kimberly) and Ronald Ritter (Christine). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Towar Hart Baptist Church in memory of Gene Ritter.
