He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wheaton and Zula Walters Wheaton; and his brothers, Curtis Wheaton and Dale Wheaton. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Huss Wheaton; and his children, James Garrett Wheaton (Linda Larkin-Benyo), Robert Bruce Wheaton and Patricia Kay Wheaton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
