She was predeceased by: her parents, Jorge Cardenas and Maria Cardenas; her husband Narciso Romero; her children, Concepcion Suniga Garcia and Jose Romero; her grandchildren, Concepcion Suniga Garza and Eduardo Suniga II; and her sisters, Antonia Carrizales, Ofelia Vasquez and Isabel Gray.

She is survived by: her children, Jaime, Karen Suniga, Elda, Humberto Pacheco, Montero, Leonel, Carolina Suniga, Eduardo, Christine Suniga, Narcisa and Dave Morris; her stepchildren, Elizabeth, Frankie, Anthony (Billy) and Marina Romero; her siblings, Zenon Cardenas Sr., Jorge Cardenas Sr., John Cardenas, Maria P. Rivera and Fran Rowland; and her close friend Nena Moreno. She is also survived by Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great – great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Cristo Rey Catholic Church in memory of Felipa Romero.
