With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eugene Paul Rathbun of Lansing, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Eugene left this world on March 2, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rathbun and Bernice Rathbun; and his sons, Paul Rathbun and Jim Rathbun. He is survived by: his wife Lenora Rathbun; his daughter Cindy Case (Dirk); his daughters-in-law, Cat Rathbun (Paul) and Rachel Rathbun (Jim); his grandchildren, Joshua Case (Natalie), Amanda Wilson (Trent), Ben Rathbun, Sam Rathbun (Maggie), Alyssa Rathbun, James Rathbun (Ashleigh), Jeremiah Rathbun and Shalyn Rathbun; and his great grandchildren, Naomi, Annelise Wilson, Josie, Julian Case and Nora Rathbun.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Faith Church (2300 Lake Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48912). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lansing Youth for Christ, P.O. Box 80555, Lansing, MI 48908.

“Gene’s influence on my life was always positive. We met through my friendship with Lennie. He always greeted me with a smile and we probably could have talked for hours —- though we didn’t 😊. He will be missed, but he will continue to make his presence felt in so many “little” ways.”
