She was predeceased by: her husband John Henry Duncan; her parents, Dawson Crooks, Sr. and Elizabeth Paige Crooks; her children, Doralitta Tyler and David Crooks; and her siblings, Dawson Crooks, Jr., Grant Crooks, Mary Johnson, Hazel Brown, Fannie Crooks, Verline Crooks, Frances Crooks and Lou Dobbins.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Lee Rankin (Dorthea), Charlotte Duncan Smith, Douglas Duncan, Kim Duncan (Lisa) and DelCarlos Duncan Sr. (Carmella); and her sisters, Shirley Crooks, Brenda Hart and Patricia Crooks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
