We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2020, at the age of 83, Eleanor Mary Schmitt of Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Schomogyi and Anna Schomogyi; her brothers, Joseph Horvath and Frank Schomogyi; her parents-in-law, Anna and Jacob Schmitt; and her siblings-in-law, Katherine Scofield (Bud), Madaline Schmitt, Martha Beauleaux (Bob), Joyce Muston (Jim), Jake Schmitt, Charles Schmitt (Theresa) and John Houseman.
She is survived by: her friend Eugene Schmitt; her children, Brian Schmitt (Krisanne), Sheri Tuesburg (Jerry) and Karen Grass (Brian); her siblings, Theresa Farrell (Roy) and Michael Schomogyi (Dawn); and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Horvath (Joe), Patricia Schomogyi (Frank), Margaret Houseman, Cecilia Kerr and Jerry Schmitt (Sue). She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Vincent Food Pantry at St. Therese Catholic Church, St. Therese Catholic Church, and the American Heart Association.
