He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Hastings (Goodnoe); his siblings, Duane Hastings and Lorraine Hastings; his stepsiblings, Frank and Joyce; and his wife Diane Marie Hastings (Kalkman).

He is survived by: his father Clifton Hastings; and his son Edward Hastings II (Stephaney Keroson).
