He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Jackson and Eddie Jackson Sr.; his son Jerry Patterson; his grandsons, Marcus Basey II and Tyree Griffin; his great grandchildren, Ayana Griffin and Jae'dnn Basey; and his siblings, Anthony Jackson, Sr., Blondell Murray, Mildred Robinson, Geraldine Peppers, Brenda Greenlee and Beatrice Galloway.

He is survived by: his wife Iona Jackson; his children, Michael Harrison of Norris, Eric Jackson (Trina) of Lansing, Katrina Basey (Marcus) of Grand Blanc, Tiffany Jackson-Griffin of Lansing, Dimeca Hawkins (Darnell) of Atlanta, Georgia and Marlon Alston of Lansing, Michigan; and his siblings, Barbara Galloway, Patricia Wright, Otto Jackson and Michael Jackson of South Carolina. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
