She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence Emil Karkau; and her son Timothy Karkau. She is survived by: her children, Robert Karkau (Nancy), Peggy Pangburn (Martin), Dennis Karkau (Robin) and Ron Karkau. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
