He was predeceased by: his parents, Marisue Panici and Lewis Panici. He is survived by: his wife Mardi Panici (Miller); his children, Leah Wendling (Eric) and Tony Panici (Colleen); his granddaughters, Katherine, Caroline, Marie and Madeline; and his sisters, Peg Panici and Penny Krepps (Clyde). He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
He was also instrumental in youth sports in the area as a coach, mentor, and ultimately helping form and operate the Greater Lansing Amateur Golf Association whose mission is to stimulate charitable contributions to advance Junior golf in the greater Lansing area.
