He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Henrietta Mason; his nephews, Joe Barkely and Anthony Rodgers; his wife Norma Gean Hunt; his daughters, Reba Sue and Kay Eileen; his son-in-law Ernest Butler; his siblings, Helen Alexander, Charlsie Parker, Albert Alexander and Freddie Lee Hayes; his children, Cheryl Brown, Sabrina Brown Hunt, Teresa Burtley (Edwin), Clarence Brown (Saundra) and Darren Brown; and his siblings, Rosetta Draper Armistead (Charles) of Phoenix, Arizona and Alec of San Diego, California. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
