He is survived by: his wife Debra Simmons of Lansing, Michigan; his children, Jermaine Hill (Darla) of South Euclid, Nichelle Robertson of Lansing, Michigan and Andre Simmons of Lansing, Michigan; his grandchildren, Trichelle Penegar, Shayla Rush, Tyrice Johnson, Jene Hill, Ayana Simmons, Arianna Simmons, Jermaine Hill Jr., Nyla Hill, Dreya Simmons, Aundrea Simmons and Andre Simmons Jr.; his great grandchild Keith Sanders III; and his siblings, Velma Simmons of Stockton, California, Stan Simmons (Natalie) of Tucson, Dwight Simmons (Sharon) of Fort Knox, Gregory Simmons of Muskegon, Michigan and Simmons'. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, co-workers.
