It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Ray Sorrells Jr. of Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Albert, Lillie Brown and Ephraim Sorrells; his nephew Marcus Jones; his uncle Arthur Brown; and his cousins, Lillian Michelle Boles, Kenneth Powell and Leon Hollis.
He is survived by: his mother Louella Sorrells (Andrew); his siblings, Angela Sorrells Jones, Shantela Sorrells, Camille Rivers, Renee Rivers, Carolyn Bicy, Monique Rivers, Tisa Rivers, Donnie Sorrells (Erica), Michael Sorrells, Keith Sorrells and Raphall Sorrells; his close friend Shalisa Kittle; and also La'Nayjah White. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
