She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wharton and Mary Wharton (Baen); her husband Jose Rivera Sr.; her son James VanBuskirk; and her grandson Michael James VanBuskirk.
She is survived by: her children, Robert VanBuskirk, Tina Rivera (Ken Lahaye) and Jose "Joe" Rivera Jr. (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Dougals Rouser (Amber), Caryssa Rouser, Ashley Rivera, Paul Hundt, Shawn Rivera, Kegan Berchmeier, Pavel Rivera, Anthony Dixon, Elizabeth Thomas, Mason Rivera and Jayce Rivera; and her sister Linda Clark. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Skinner Funeral Home - Lansing Chapel (101 W Jolly Rd, Lansing, MI 48910). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, care/ of Tina Lahaye.
