It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kimberly Marie Fortier of Lanse, Michigan, who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Velmer; and her in-laws, Cyril and Martha Fortier. She is survived by: her mother Shirley Velmer (LaFernier) of Baraga; her husband Cyril "Joe" Fortier of L'Anse; her children, Kyle LaPlante of Baraga, Tyler LaPlante (Faith) of Skanee, MI and Joel Fortier (Abby) of L'Anse; her stepchildren, Tony Fortier of L'Anse and Jolene Fortier of L'Anse; her brother Michael Velmer (Jacquelyn) of Herman; her grandchildren, Lilianna, Kylee, Titan, Madison, Braylin, Noah, Randal, Jacob, Chelsey, Reese and Troy; her aunt Helen Tollefson of Skanee; and her uncle Stanley LaFernier of Baraga. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
