He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Kemppainen and Ruth Kemppainen (Maki); and his brother Bruce Kemppainen. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Kemppainen of L'Anse; his sons, Jim Kemppainen of L'Anse, Joel Kemppainen (Jody) of Green Bay, WI and Jason Kemppainen (Dawn) of L'Anse; his grandchildren, Jillian, Brooke, Ryan and Khloe; and his brother David Kemppainen (Anne) of Aura. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
