In the vast expanse of eternity, Gerald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gerald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Knapp and Elizabeth Knapp (Thoresen); his son Mark Murphy; his sister Avis Knapp; and his former wife Joanne Vetter.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Knapp of L'Anse and Kristine Coulombe of Kennesaw, Georgia; his siblings, James Knapp (Bonnie) of Clinton, Michigan, Gretchen Emery of Zeba and Betty Knapp of L'Anse; and his cousin Harold Thoresen of L'Anse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
