He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Day and Margaret Day (Lyon); his siblings, Robert and Fern; his sons, Brian Day and Troy Matuk; and his granddaughter Rebecca.
He is survived by: his wife Marge; his children, Doug Bass (Wendy), Todd Matuk, Tracy Galloway (Scott) and David Jr. Day (Staci); his grandchildren, Dustin, Brooke, Kendra and BryAnn; his sister Sharon Frazier (Eugene); and his siblings-in-law, Betty VanderMeer, Nella Ostrander (Ted), Warren Post (Diana) and Harvey Post (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
