With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loland N. Fortinberry of Lambertville, Michigan, born in Earle, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Fortinberry and Agnes Fortinberry (Gootee); his siblings, Leonard, James, Luther, Leland, Lewis Fortinberry, Rosa Adams and Ruth Thacker; and his grandson Avery Fortinberry.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Moore; his children, Gail Whitten (Bill), Jeff Fortinberry (Julia) and Dan Fortinberry (Tracee); his sisters, Ruby Roberson, Esther Morgan and Ethel Alewine; and his grandchildren, Natalie Proctor (Blake), Andrew Brown, Erika Smith, Austin Whitten (Mikaela), Erin Villa (Zach) and Alex Fortinberry (Hannah). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
