She is survived by: her children, Steven Wurth (Jenelle) and Michelle Bieber (Adam); and her grandsons, Alexander, Nicholas and William. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and much extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel (8300 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI 48182). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Women's Auxiliary Sherman H. Osborne American Legion Post 192 in Temperance, MI.

“I am surprised by Hedy’s passing. She always was so exuberant in talking and expressing herself at the post during Patio Nights there. We will miss her selling 50/50 tickets, coming to our table to visit, and eating her famous strudel and other great dishes. She was a fabulous cook. I remember her tending her husband in his wheelchair when I first started coming Wednesday evenings. Condolences to her children and family. I am thankful she took that wonderful trip to Germany.
