He was predeceased by: his parents, Oatha Hughes and Carmen Hughes (Massie); and his siblings, Duane Hughes and Etta Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Donald Hughes Jr. and Angela Hughes; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Ashley, Hannah, Dominic and Evan; his great grandchildren, Eli and Ehaan; and his siblings, Oatha Hughes (Sue), Patricia Kirk (Fred), Melody Rodriquez (Dave), Cindy Gonyer and LuAnn Neal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
