He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman J. Slaughterbeck and Laura M. Slaughterbeck (Pratt); and his sister Barbara Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Janet Slaughterbeck (Berning); his siblings, Bonnie, Brenda, Sue Slaughterbeck and H. L. Slaughterbeck (Rose); his brother-in-law Ricky Berning (Star) of Florida; and his pets, Comet, Spunk and Goofy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
