He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Konesberg; his stepfather Max Konesberg; and his stepson Shane Smith. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his sister Pat Mckeever (Jim); and his children, Kim McGuire, Dawn Tice and Kevin Hennessy (Ashley).
