He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Lynn Vera; his grandson Jarron Michael Vera; his grandson-in-law Nicholas Galdeen; and his parents, Anastasia Salinas and Merced Salinas Vera Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Vera; his children, Rene Vera, Elmer Vera, Gregory Vera and Alice McKenna; and his grandchildren, Angela Dickman (James), Gigi Mananasala (John), Jelean Melencio (Greg), Marissa Barbero-Unenge (John), Bethany Haynes (Andrew), Anissa Stebbins and Kaley McKenna. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
