He was predeceased by: his parents, Waino Paavola and Ellen Paavola (Erickson); his former wife Catherine "Dolly" Paavola; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Dolly" Ravasz; his son Gary Paavola of Hancock; and his sister Helen Snell of Petoskey Several. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
