He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hanson and Marion Hanson (VanSyckle); his wives, Joyce and Ethyle; and his brother Clayton Hanson.
He is survived by: his significant other Linda Diem of Chesaning; his children, Robert Hanson (Kim) of Clarkston, Brenda "Bren" Vance (Bruce) of Pleasanton, CA and Bonnie Stroud (Sam) of Pinson, TN; the mother of his children Kathy Hanson of Jackson, TN; his grandchildren, Rachel Hanson-Hervey (Michael), Jamie Hanson and Jason Webb (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Ayden, Michael Webb, Jacob Vance and Dakota Ray; his siblings, Lonnie Hanson (Tam) of Barryton and Beverly Bottomley (Gayle) of Barryton; his sister-in-law Nancy Hanson of Mt. Pleasant; and also, Maeleisa, Skylar and Adam Rainey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
