In loving memory of JoAnn Burton of Lakeland, Michigan, who departed this world on November 30, 2024 at the age of 79. JoAnn leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid JoAnn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For JoAnn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Zelek and Inez Zelek; and her daughter Lisa Burton. She is survived by: her husband Buhl Burton; her daughter Gina Aten (Daniel); her grandsons, Brendan, Cole and Parker; and her brother Patrick Zelek (Kathie). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamburg Chapel (7425 E Michigan 36, Brighton, MI 48139). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
