It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Allen Smith of Lake, Michigan, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Harlo" Smith and Ruth Smith (Cornwell); and his siblings, Richard Smith (Jo), Janice McFarland (Terry) and Douglas Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Smith (Perrine); his children, Christine Vasher (Dennis), Michael Smith (Toni), Lynette Roberts (Don) and Lori Schlaud (Jeff); his grandchildren, Greg Vasher (Sabrina), Matt Vasher (Stacy), Andy Roberts (Michelle), Melissa Gibson (Josh Snyder), Roger Smith (Bonnie), Jesse Schlaud (Shin Shin), Kelly Maguire (Patrick) and Marc Schlaud (Olga); his great grandchildren, Conner, Mia, Ava, Ben, Julie (Alex), Lillian, Henry, Stella, Isobel, Amelie, Hadley and Molly; and his great great grandchildren, Melanie and Sophia.
