He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward and Pearline Mae Long (Breeze); and his siblings, Douglas, John and Sandra Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Sue Grzyb; his sons, George Edward Long III (Nancy) of West Bloomfield, MI and Robert Long (Marlene) of Bloomfield Hills, MI; his grandchildren, Brenda (Dean), Madelyn, Julia and Avery; his sister Gloria Bray; and his sister-in-law Deborah Long of Waterford, MI..
He dabbled in custom art framework, contemporary modern wooden sculptures, and eventually built an art gallery across the road from their home when he knew his ailment with Parkinson's was progressing, so that he could keep his mind sharp.
