He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin McNeilly and Dorothy McNeilly (Gibbs); and his stepson Shawn Sorensen. He is survived by: his children, Rick McNeilly (Cheryl) of Lake, Cindy Trucks (Dave) of Lake and Nancee Jelsema (Al) of Mecosta; his grandchildren, Aric McNeilly, Angela Montgomery, Heath Houghton, Heather Martin, Chris Foster, Tony Foster and Matthew Trucks; and his siblings, James (Betty McNeilly) of Barryton and Eloise McNeilly of Mecosta. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
