He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Phenix and Bertha E. Phenix (Harper); his wife Evelyn Mildred Guldner; his son Robert Hodge; his grandson Andrew James Tice; and his brothers, Bruce D. Phenix, Edward L. Phenix, Leo J. Phenix, John Phenix and Wayne Phenix.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise (James Rowland) and Michelle (Jason Dick); his daughter-in-law Janette Hodge of Stanton; and his sisters-in-law, Wilma Guldner of Greenville and Leona Evans of Stanton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
