She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Whitaker and Gertrude Whitaker; and her brother-in-law Ed DeJong. She is survived by: her pet Welfare League; her husband David; and her siblings-in-law, George and Mary Lindquist. She is also survived by six nieces.
