He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard and Mary Margaret Neph (Crinion); his sister Ann Margaret Rockafellow; and his grandchildren, Andrew Jacob Neph and Catherine Ann Neph.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, John Neph (Betsy) of Bear Lake, David Neph (Julie) of Cheboygan, Leslie Payne (Tim) of Cascade, CO, Larry Crawford of Gaylord and Juliet Pattullo (Mike) of Colorado Springs, CO; his stepchildren, Dawn Edwards, Darcy Baker, Denise Baker, Dwayne Baker and David Baker; his grandchildren, Alex, Lindsay, Leah, Matthew, David Jr., Daniel, Sylvia and Johnny; and his brother James Neph (Mary) of Arizona.
