James Pelton Jr. Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Pelton Jr. of Lake Orion, Michigan, born in Mansfield, Ohio, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Pelton and Anna Jane Pelton (Thompson); his wife Judy Updike Pelton; his brother Thomas; his great-nephew Phineas; and his parents-in-law, George, Jeanette Updike, Howard and Susan Van Scoyoc.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sue Jane Kline (Rick Smith) of Flint and Anna Marie Flanigan (John) of Lake Orion; his siblings, Hartwell Pelton (Janet), J. Burr Pelton (Jane Ann), Mary Pierce (James) and Robert Pelton (Linda); his grandchildren, John Kline (Jessica), Matthew Kline, Elizabeth Kline, Alexandria Muench (Andrew), Brennan Flanigan and Jenna Flanigan; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn Kline and Elijah Kline; and his former wife Betty Van Scoyoc Baer (Larry). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, Jim will be laid to rest at a private, immediate family graveside service at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio, with full military honors.
