With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Dodde-Brown of Lake Odessa, Michigan, born in Cadillac, Michigan, who passed away on July 15, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harm Dodde and Geneva Dodde (Comdure); and her brother Mark. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert A. Brown; her children, Richard Brown, Erin Fosburg (Randy) and Samuel Brown; her grandchildren, James, Aiyana, Cheyana and Savanna; and her siblings, Duane (Ellie), Harold (Ruth), Ivan (Lori), Carl (Marjon) and Ruthann. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.

“Even though it has been many years since I knew Shirley at Calvin College (my suite mate), I remember her so well! She was lots of fun and so kind. She had sparkling brown eyes and a lively personality! Later she transferred to Wayne State where I visited her several times. After our college years we lost touch when I moved out of state, but I have never forgotten her. My sincere sympathies to her family. Hilda Berghoef Quist”
